Introduction Responsible for effectively implementing the principles of Agile Scrum to support the product development process the Product Specialist and Scrum Delivery Team Facilitates the implementation of appropriate Agile methodologies and strives for an increase in teamwork openness and improved communication Assists with backlog maintenance and the facilitation of defects bugs resolution Facilitates the effective running of sprint meetings and improves efficiencies and productivity by applying Agile and other metrics where appropriate Only South Africans will be considered for this position Duties Responsibilities Optimise performance across teams Scheduling of resources for sprint planning stand ups sprint review and sprint retros Resolve impediments distractions for the development team insulating them from external disruptions whenever possible coordinates most of the inputs and outputs required for an agile program drives the agile ceremonies of sprint kickoff daily stand ups sprint review sprint retrospective and works with the team and development managers to estimate larger items like epics and individual user stories in the backlog Focuses on optimizing the velocity of delivery Acts as an agile coach for the rest of the organisation helping teams adopt and own agile practices throughout the product life cycle Adhere to all financial requirements and ensure cost efficiency through effective management of planned vs actual Contribute to the development and implementation of fit for purpose budgets Budget by weighing up costs and risks pertaining to workforce technology materials and equipment used Effective budgetary compilation and control Keep within budget constraints for an annual period monitor planned vs actual and report on cost efficiency Optimise customer service and relations to ensure customer attraction and retention Contribute to the development of a customer centric strategy in line with future customer needs and requirements to drive customer centricity Ensure effective relationships and SLA management with internal and external stakeholders Build and maintain excellent relationships between own team and key internal interest groups Contribute to a service culture which builds rewarding relationships proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service Ensure professional services are provided where expectations are managed in terms of outcomes Maintain people practices in line with organisational guidelines policies culture and values Ensure service practices and standards SLA s adhered to Develop and encourage strong team work Identify potential inter departmental problems and escalate them to higher levels Engage regularly in team or group problem solving Manage areas of critical compliance and actively manage non conformance Identify accumulate and analyse statistics that reflect on the team s performance Continually share technical competence with the team to assist in the development of their knowledge and skill Ensure the work environment enables employees to live the organisation culture and values Actively participate in own professional development and career path Desired Experience Qualification Technical Legal Certification Scrum Certification Deep understanding and working knowledge of Agile Principles Project Management certification Experience Minimum 3 Years experience as a Scrum Master Experience in working on software such as TFS Visual Studio Experience in the Financial Services Industry an advantage Minimum 2 years experience as a Project Manager Interested The company offers Medical Aid Group Provident Fund and Risk Benefits Scheme Incentive Bonuses Flexible working hours 20 Work days Annual Leave Education Assistance and Study Leave
