NATIONAL PRODUCTION MANAGER for large firm based in Midrand PURPOSE : The National Production Manager will lead and manage the production management team and their overall performance.
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the manufacturing processes of the 9 moulding factories and 2 milling plants.
This includes the planning, coordination and execution required to meet flexible and varied sales demand as well as stock holding, quality, cost and efficiency targets.
In addition, the NPM will be expected to maintain and improve labour relations, housekeeping and the overall condition of all production related assets and properties.
The NPM is a member of the Executive Committee and will contribute to the strategy and overall business plan and its execution.
QUALIFICATIONS An NQF level 7 or equivalent qualification in a mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering, or supply chain management.
A bachelor’s degree in any one of these qualifications will be advantageous. Likewise, will training and qualifications in operational methods such as Lean and Six Sigma and Production Management.
WORK EXPERIENCE 10 15 years’ work experience, with suitable exposure to a multi-site manufacturing operation. At least 5 years in middle management position.
Ideally 3 years at senior operations management. Salary : R1 Million TCTC negotiable depending on the Candidate.
