MIT Service Desk : Jnr Engineer

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assisting with Remote Support to all MIT clients
  • First Line troubleshooting
  • Resolve customer queries in a timely manner
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner both in written form of emails, ticket comments, and verbally; as well as internally and on the phone with customers.
  • Report root cause of issues
  • Assist with Standby when requested
  • Brainstorming for new ideas
  • Generating solutions to problems with machinery or equipment
  • Originating process or equipment design
  • Suggesting new solutions to production problems
  • Thinking up new systems or procedures
  • Choosing appropriate materials to complete a job
  • Deciding a course of action in conjunction with others
  • Deciding a course of action on own initiative
  • Making decisions after thorough evaluation
  • Mentally reacting quickly to emergency situations
  • Requirements and skills

  • 2 Years in IT Related Position
  • Any experience in a service desk environment or call centre
  • A+ and N+ certifications
  • NSE 4
  • Adequate knowledge of Servers, O365, Troubleshooting, Networking
