Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to develop the end to end customer marketing strategy for a segment and execute programs both to acquire new customers and ensure retention and value growth of our existing customer base.
Reporting to the Regional Customer Marketing Manager, they are directly responsible for ensuring alignment and execution of marketing activities across the segment and for delivering maximum ROI.
This role is required to interlock with Partner Marketing to ensure alignment of customer marketing strategy through depth and breadth activation.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey accountabilities and decision ownership :
Plan and execute the marketing strategy for a segment across a number of tactics including digital, events, content, social, webinars, offline marketing, customer references both directly and through / with Partners, Accountants and Alliances
To work closely with Marketing leadership and sales stakeholders to build and communicate the marketing strategy and to align the tactics to the sales objectives
Closely align with partner marketing team to ensure all programs align to our depth and breadth strategy
To build and own the pipeline for a segments sales team and to ensure an adequate pipeline coverage
Budget management and allocation for marketing activities driven by data and ROI
To prepare detailed campaign plans, data briefs, and to own and enforce them across internal and external agencies with confidence, clarity, and strong alignment with business goals
To proactively co-ordinate marketing campaigns across all elements of the marketing mix and across any involved stakeholders
Manage and input into regional programs spanning cross segment when required, including referral campaigns, customer reference programs and regional eventsHave a deep understanding of the segment target persona and work with Product marketing to refine this for use in demand generation campaigns
Monitor, analyse and represent campaign results to the business with continuous optimisation from both data and feedback from internal stakeholders
Liaise and share best practice and knowledge, be the expert’ in marketing communications to others in the business, supporting the commercial success of our solutions and products
Be the business partner to the segment sales team and to establish a connected strategy and relationship that showcases results from marketing and establishes a process to drive marketing campaigns through the business
Leverage and integrate global content into local campaigns where appropriate
Competent at writing, proofing and editing copy for all forms of communication
Work with digital teams to ensure web content is kept up to date, fully localised and relevant to the enterprise audience
Act as a champion and guardian of Sage’s values and brand identity, ensuring messaging, positioning, tone of voice, visual identity is consistent and in line with the global brand guidelines, across all channels and in all activities
Manage campaigns across PR / Social Media / Content teams to help promote Sage’s solutions and services.
Ensure consistency and enforce high quality standards across all communications as a result of advanced and accurate proofing skills, in line with the local and global internal approvals processSkills, know-how and experience Must haves :

Experience with high-tech solutions in a business-to-business environment
Experience working in matrix organizations
Extensive and proven knowledge of marketing automation and digital marketing including search, social and online nurture journeys

Experienced in managing budgets and resources
Advanced communication and presentation skills
Ability to develop strategic plans and implement
Strong analytical skills and data driven mentality
Be able to think beyond area of control / domain to do what is right for the broader Sage organisation
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and to encourage and support others to achieve their objectives
Sales Force experience advantageous

Experience with high-tech solutions in a business-to-business environment.
Technical / professional qualifications :
10+ years’ experience in marketing
Native or Fluent English
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications / or equivalent experience.
Ability to travel
Key performance indicators : (3-5 Max)
Marketing contribution to revenue, with a focus on new customer acquisition numbers
Execution against the agreed marketing plans in all 3 geographies
