Group Finance Accountant KZNGroup Finance Accountant is to oversee a company''s financial data by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports, the Group Finance Accountant will be required to analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

The Group Finance Accountant will be required to report the organization''s finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Document financial transactions by entering account information. As the HOD this employee will be required to oversee the employees under their supervision and monitor their work and progression.

Reporting and processes : Preparation of the monthly management accounts with supporting file within reporting deadlines.

Monthly and weekly cash flow report Update of Teams Financial Dashboards on Monthly basis Daily Bank statement DownloadingProjects and documentation : Attend to queries relating to the accounting department from other departments & externalthird parties Obtaining certification of compliance to regulatory requirements when required, i.

e., Taxclearance certificate.Team Engagement : Assign, supervise and monitor the work of accountants / bookkeepers in the team Approve and check work done by the accountants / bookkeepers when needed Train and provide opportunities for training in order to better the skills of theaccountants / bookkeepersGeneral duties : Reviewing Cash Book (Weekly & Monthly) (Various Bank accounts) Processing cashbooks for Holding companies Capturing and maintaining of Budgets into Syspro for all entities Checking control accounts and intercompany accounts on a weekly basis Loading ad-hoc payments on banking system Review of payments loaded by bookkeepers on banking system Review of Fixed Asset registers for each entity and assisting with maintenance thereof Calculation of and providing for intergroup management fees per SLAs Preparation & submission of VATs for group Creditors review and provide assistance to creditors where necessary Review of reconciliations prepared by bookkeepers Approval of journal entries proposed by bookkeepers Petty Cash claim review Reviewing of Revaluation of Forex ROE done once a month for foreign entities Calculations for and reconciliations of Provisions (Provident fund, SARS, Bonus, Fuel etc.

  • Reconcile the balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation monthly Liaise with SARS in matters relating with VAT, PAYE & Customs;
  • ensuring that any queries fromSARS are dealt with Liaise with Syspro Consultants regarding OBDC reports that need to be created or maintained.

    Variance analysis for income and expenses (Budget Actual) Review month end closeouts utilizing Tracking and reporting costs per project Assisting with month end stock take procedures when necessary Ensuring Finished Goods / Raw Materials and WIP is valued accurately Preparing for annual audit and assisting auditors in completion thereof Assist with ad hoc projects as requested by Financial Manager Qualifications Required : Min : Matric certificate Diploma or Degree in finance Computer literate (Proficient in Microsoft Office) Valid drivers licensePreferred : Articles completed with SAICA accredited firm Post Grad studies in Finance Knowledge, Skill & Experience Required : Min : 5 years experience working as a senior financial accountant Previous experience in a supervisory / management / HOD role Previous manufacturing experience Experience working in ERP packages, preference given to Syspro 8 Preferred : 5 years experience working as a senior financial accountant 5 years manufacturing experience 8 years managerial / supervisory experience Characteristics / Personal Attributes : Build for better (Doing good whilst doing good business) Work smart (I can attitude) Wholehearted Commitment (Employee fulfilment and commitment) Analytical and systematic Detail orientated Highly motivated and proactive Self-starter Able to lead a team Honest, high integrity and dependable Willing and able to work overtime Adaptable and fast learnerSalary - Rkpa
