As a Sales Specialist you will be responsible to plan and ensure implementation of Business Unit and GPG (Service) strategy in the Southern Africa region for Power Generation and Water BU, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for Services in a profitable way.
You will also be responsible for leading the Sales of Service (Power Generation) in Southern Africa proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Your tasks as a Sales Specialist will include the following :

Service Growth : Develop and drive growth initiatives with the Local Product Groups. Recognize white spots and build and support business.
Manage entries into new markets in line with BU Strategy.
Sales Strategy : Create, plan and implement service & sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global & AF Hub Service strategy.
Achieve sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency.
Sales Targets : Lead sales and account management, working with customers at the top level to position ABB as a service provider and to build up the local presence in the HUB.
Lead installed base (IB) management, identification, development of new market and market analyses.
Customer acquisition : Identify opportunities at existing and potential new customers in Southern Africa, and determine plans for acquisition and allocate resources.
Customer relations : Support the development of strong relationships with key customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers.
Ensures efficient marketing communications.
Volume, profit and cost : Ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales.
Participate on negotiations of key contracts. Manages ongoing cost .
Information sharing : Coordinate the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc.
and evaluate data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitor and provide reports to the Marketing organization on market intelligence.
Risk : Monitor client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Identify and manage potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers / channel.
Sales process : Take ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs.
People leadership and development : Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
Screening : Ensure quality screening of Projects and provide meaningful inputs to RR process and drive CTS.
Ideally you will have a National Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Instrumentation & Control or Electrical Engineering coupled with 6 or more years of experience in marketing & sales of services in power generation market.
Candidate with an experience of Sales in Power Generation Service projects and Service business, excellent written and verbal presentation skills will be an added advantage.
Candidate should be fluent in English with comprehension and writing of other languages (French, Portuguese).
