Purpose of Role :
Candidate will perform day to day voip service / managed customer voip maintenance and troubleshooting as well as assist in the development of the eNetworks VoIP platform.
Candidate will plan, design and deploy VoIP services on customer networks.
Primary Role Accountabilities :
Planning, building and spec’ing or integrating of customer VoIP solutions using the eNetworks VoIP platform / s and approved hardware.
Undertaking VoIP fault investigations and implementing resolutions at customer or VoIP Service environment level.
Ensure proper configuration and deployment of ISP or customer VoIP equipment while adhering to eNetworks standards and practices.
Guide and further develop the eNetworks VoIP platform in terms of new features, best practices, pricing and all related technical and customer documentation.
Critical Requirements - Skills, Experience & Qualifications :
IT related degree or minimum of 5 years IT experience configuring, installing and troubleshooting network and SIP / VoIP Services and Telephony equipment.
Hands on, in-depth experience in prepping, configuration, installation, troubleshooting of VoIP PBX's and handset equipment.
Previous Telephony experience in vendors such as VoIPnow, Asterisk, 3CX and Epigy will be advantageous.
Working experience & an understanding the following Technologies : Routing and switching LAN, WAN, VLANs, Layer 2 and 3, QoS.
VoIP and Session Border Controller solutions.
Have the ability to spec, install, configure and mentor junior resources on VoIPnow, Asterisk, 3CX and Epigy .
