Job purpose :

You will support the OD and D&I Leader as they serve as a key advisor and driver to business unit (BU) leaders and HR business partners on culture, engagement and recognition initiatives, projects and plans to enhance growth and profitability.

This will involve assessing and identifying needs, recommending ideas and programs that contribute to and promote a high performing culture in the firm.

Develop and maintain OD and D&I programs and initiatives in line with the firm’s strategy.

Africa Region

The Africa Sub-Area is a single business unit spanning 33 countries and includes around 260 partners and 5,000 people.

  • The Africa Sub-Area is one of the largest and most diverse businesses in Ernst & Young and is made up of four client focused service lines;
  • Assurance, Advisory, Tax and Transaction Advisory Services

    Overall

    This role is aimed at supporting the development of communication, programmes and projects that provide opportunities for our firm to create an organisational culture that supports our key strategic objectives.

    Also to assist enabling a Diverse and Inclusiveness working forum for all.

    Strategy and scorecard

  • Support culture programs such as the Our EY, Global People Survey and Better Begins with you recognition programs
  • Monitor engagement levels within the firm and develop programs to enable business leaders to address issues around engagement within their service lines
  • Discuss and review strategies, approaches, program materials and communications from the business.
  • Creating internal awareness and communications, data analysis, tracking the impact of the D&I scorecard, reporting, action planning and monitoring
  • Assist in execution of initiatives and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce, promote the use of diversity to grow business

  • Coordinate execution of counselling family trees materials and materials for Ernst & Young employees
  • Develop an understanding of the firm’s business strategy and culture
  • Educating the Ernst & Young community on the understanding and appreciation of how to leverage engagement effectively and highlighting the benefits this brings
  • Coordinate employer branding award eg Top Employers
  • Support Global and EMEIA relationships
  • Support execution of inclusiveness learning & development programs for Ernst & Young employees across all levels
  • Engaging our stakeholders, by creating awareness and obtaining buy-in so they understand the long and short term business benefits of investing in D&I.
  • Develop and drive internal and external networks and forums
  • Project manage the transformation committees
  • Develop an understanding of the firm’s business strategy and culture
  • Educating the Ernst & Young community on the understanding and appreciation of how to leverage difference effectively and highlighting the benefits this brings

    Experience

    A minimum of 8+ years’ experience, in a professional services organisation would be an advantage
