Main Duties : Practice health and safety and food safety procedures at all times
Follow maintenance technician instructions, ensuring planned and preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time
Report to breakdowns immediately with maintenance technician and work quickly and safely to help repair the machine
Assist with jobs pertaining to building and facility maintenance
Assist with special projects
Ensure toolbox is fully stocked and kept in a clean, hygienic state
Ensure maintenance workshop is clean and tidy at all times with all items in their correct place
Ensure work area is clean and tidy and good housekeeping practices are maintained in the workplace
Complete tasks as per the job card issued
Once job is complete, obtain sign off from Technician on job card Requirements : Grade 12 Skills Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
Good numeracy Able to work with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures Experience Minimum 1-3 year’s practical experience as a maintenance assistant, preferably in a production environment Bakery background advantageous Must be able to work 6 days a week.
Overtime, night shifts and weekend work is also required.
