Mr D Food is looking for a highly talented CRM Manager to join our team in Cape Town.

This position reports to the Head of Marketing Mr D Food

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Develop and execute the CRM plan to deliver on both the marketing strategy as well as overall Mr D Food business plan
  • Analyse data to derive insights into the customer base and formulate communication plans to drive desired behaviour. This includes but may not be limited to : Working with the Performance Marketing Team to drive downloads and registration of the appIdentifying channels and key marketing messages to encourage 1st and repeat orders and prevent dormancyWorking with the brand team to encourage purchasing behaviour to maximise lifetime value of customers
  • Segmentation and management of the customer database to ensure the correct targeting and communication
  • Map out the customer journey along with key communication channels, messaging and desired outcome
  • Manage the CRM team, CRM channels (mail and push notification) and CRM budget
  • Ensure that all communication is correct and send on time
  • Reporting on performance of communication with the intention of optimising communication and customer behaviour
  • Develop test strategies and use the derived insights to develop more effective ways of communicating with customers
  • Manage all CRM platforms effectively along with input and support from IT.
  • Review current and research new ways of communicating to customers
  • Ensure that all CRM touchpoints contribute to a consistent and positive brand image and experience
  • Support other customer facing departments with guidelines on customer engagement
  • Skills & Attributes required :

  • An appreciation and passion for memorable customer engagement
  • A solid understanding of CRM across various touchpoints
  • A keen interest in data and its ability to inform strategies and plans
  • Outstanding numeric and analytical skills
  • Experience in marketing and communication.
  • Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude and high energy.
  • Highly organized and efficient, whilst being flexible and versatile.
  • An enthusiasm for, and an understanding of e-commerce.
  • Exceptional English writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Tech savvy with an inquisitive mind.
  • The appetite for being involved in a startup environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Confident, with very strong interpersonal & communication skills and a proven ability
  • To build productive relationships quickly
  • Qualifications :

  • A relevant tertiary education
  • 5 years experience within CRM
  • Experience within e-commerce and / or a digital company
