Position Title : Financial Manager

Position reports to : Chief Executive Officer

Business Unit : CBRE Excellerate

Job Grade : : D3

Main purpose / objective of the position :

To ensure the full financial of one of the divisions within CBRE Excellerate function operates efficiently and effectively, including but not limited to budgeting, management and statutory accounting and reporting, all company and employee taxation and funding requirements, forecasting and other duties as such a position would require to fulfil.

To ensure that finance is seen as a value adding business partner.

To develop Finance''s influence in the making of business decisions.

Decision making authority :

Employees in this band make the rules and establish precedents enabling lower bands to produce. They interpret the strategy laid out by the Board by applying material and manpower resources to achieve objectives outlined in the strategy specific to minor organizational function.

This position operates within budget parameters and the decision framework

They are the final finance decision maker for the divisions accounting function.

Experience / Education :

Chartered Accountant (SA) with 3 years articles and 3 years relevant experience.

Experience in the property or facility management industry preferable. Not required, but preferable if worked for a multinational organization, with strict and tight reporting deadlines.

Managed annual turnover in excess of R100m.

Skills required :

Computer literacy : SAP / SAP BI; MS Office - Excel advanced, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

Administration : Time management, advanced financial reporting and analysis, policies and processes, people management, business planning and forecasting, stakeholder management.

Knowledge required :

Detailed knowledge of all financial procedures and processes, full suite of reporting statements, budgets, forecasts, IFRS, and knowledge of taxation.

Competencies required :

Communication, analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making, team leadership, change leadership, financial and business acumen, challenging mindset, quality focussed, self-confidence, teamwork and co-operation, drive and productivity, accuracy, methodical tolerance for stress, applied strategic planning.

Major drivers of work volume :

Complexity of reporting needs.

Interface / relationships with :

Internal : Divisional CEO, Shareholder Finance Leads, Operational Leads, Banking, Accounts Payable, IT, Group Finance

External : Contractors, Clients, Tenants, Property Asset Management, Financial Directors, Accountants, Auditors of listed funds.

Regulatory bodies e.g. SARS.
