We are looking for a strong people leader and educator, with enthusiasm for Higher Education in South Africa, particularly in the Private Higher Education (PHEI) sector.
Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes.
Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide
Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours and stipulated per pre agreed timetable
Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback in a timeous manner
Presenting grades and feedback to the students and discuss appropriate interventions for improved student success
STUDENT EXPERIENCE AND ENGAGEMENT
Ensure a superior student journey driving a high student satisfaction score.
Ensure that we deliver on our Student Value Proposition (SVP)
Ensure that all classes and learning meet the ISA standard
Ensure that adherence to SOP's and HR Policies & Procedures
Superior hygiene in all areas of the lecture room
Report any maintenance requirements to the Campus Manager
Ensure that students and all staff in the lecture room adhere to all safety procedures, including COVID safety protocols
STUDENT PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Set performance objectives
Conduct performance meetings
Drive continuous improvement in capability and confidence of all students
ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING
Maintain student records and grades
Report on student performance
Suggest improvements in process and productivity optimisation and implement approved initiatives.
Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, reporting on.
o Student engagement
o Class conduct
o Research & Content delivery
Isa Carstens Somatology level 6, CIDESCO
Adv Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics, level 7 would be an advantage
5 8 years industry / lecturing experience
Lecturing experience in a tertiary environment is advantageous
Moderator / Assessor / Facilitator qualifications or B.ED Degree will be beneficial
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
An ability to teach students from diverse social and educational backgrounds
An ability to research and develop learning material, including online, and familiarity with blended learning
An ability to conduct scholarly research in the area / s of expertise
Creative thinking skills
Proficient in Microsoft office (MS Office, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint).
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Great planning, organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
Ability to work well under pressure and with minimum supervision.
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
Must be quality focused and have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Must have a creative flair and the ability to think conceptually.
Excellent communication skills including fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
