Golder has a new opportunity for a Groundwater Modeller to join our Water Team, full-time based in Midrand . This position will provide support to the Groundwater Modelling Team and use their core technical and specialist skills on projects within Africa.

Key duties and responsibilities will include : Planning and managing groundwater projects and tasks including undertaking hydrogeological numerical modelling;

Undertaking relevant field work assessments, e.g. assessing contaminated groundwater, aquifer testing supervision, drilling supervision and hydrocensus;

Undertaking hydrogeological baseline assessments, interpretating and conceptualising hydrogeological data;Delivering project activities linked to project requirements with a major focus on data collection;

Liaising and maintaining working relationships with clients, both internal and external; andReport writing and proposal writing.

Skills, Qualifications, and ExperienceRelevant degree BSc. Hons in Hydrogeology / Geology, including groundwater modelling experience is essential;

Ideally 3 - 5 years in practical hydrogeology;Demonstrated knowledge in Feflow, Modflow and Goldism is beneficial as is experience in GIS packages such as QGIS or ArcGIS, additionally knowledge of Python will be beneficial;

Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel (Advanced), MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and MS Projects;Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good time management and technical reporting skills;

Enthusiasm for fieldwork with practical experience;Ability to work effectively in a team; andOwn vehicle and valid driver's licence.
