Our client a national market leader in the Logistics and Supply Chain industry with branches in Centurion, Cape Town, Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth requires a Command Centre Coordinator with a minimum of 2 years' Logistics Control / Logistics Management / Supply Chain Operations experience.
Staff management / supervisory experience essential.
Required knowledge and skills :
Computer literate and proficient in using MS Outlook and MS Excel (intermediate / advanced)
Communicate well with end users like clients and internal staff to relay details of faults working out the reasons for a fault and explaining these to the client in order to resolve
The ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
A patient and methodical approach
The ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Prior systems support experience would be advantageous
Preferred education / background :
Logistics Control / Logistics Management / Supply Chain Operations background or Diploma
A minimum of 2 years' work experience related to Logistics Control / Logistics Management / Supply Chain Operations
Activities include but are not limited to :
Monitoring and control of operational activities for multiple client projects
Using monitoring tools such as dashboards and reports to communicate and action exceptions
Report on client specific project monitoring and escalation of issues to management on a daily basis
Reviewal and completion of data corrections and data interrogations
Monitoring of daily Error Queue
Compile and send monitoring reports and KPI reports to staff and clients
Assist bin coordinator staff and transport management staff to monitor Orders placed by Customers, confirm stock availability, coordinate and plan daily / weekly client collections and deliveries as and when is required
Action and investigate issues raised by clients, as well as escalation to management where necessary
