Minimum requirements for the role :
A degree or diploma or certificate or related qualification in Marketing or related field is essential for this role.
Previous experience having worked in a Marketing role ideally within the Baking and or Food or related markets is preferred.
An understanding of the bakery and related industries is preferred but not essential.
Must have effective communication skills, good coordinating abilities and good management experience in handling the marketing projects and processes for the Company.
Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills.
Previous experience working with Syspro and Adobe is preferred.
Previous IT solutions skills would be advantageous.
The successful candidate must be able to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Must have a strong general understanding of marketing principles.
The person needs to have a strong innovative ability with ideas and solutions as well as a can-do attitude.
Previous experience having worked in a strategic and creative marketing role wherein you are working closely with various agencies on different projects is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Coordinating a wide range of integrated communication and marketing activities for the Business Unit and at Corporate level.
Sourcing and distributing giveaways and other promotional items.
Coordinating production and distribution of newsletters and other forms of communication.
Developing and placing adverts with selected publications.
Developing annual brand plan based on the Business Units strategy.
Planning and preparing for and attending tradeshows, Company sponsored promotions and events.
Overseeing the production of business cards, product information leaflets, brochures and other such marketing-related items.
Initiating and following-through of changes with regard to packaging and liaising effectively with Suppliers and Operations Team.
Interfacing and working with Advertising Agency and Marketing Suppliers to achieve specific objectives.
Managing the Business Units content on website and social media platforms.
Planning, managing and executing the annual customer survey.
Acting as the BEE champion for social economic development for the Company which includes identifying opportunities for projects, communication and execution including BEE documentation requirements.
