Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Retail Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The purpose of the position will be to ensure profitable and sustainable DC owned and managed stores by driving gross profit and working with store managers to achieved budgeted sales measure.
Duties & Responsibilities Analyzing and accurately interpreting store performance statistics and benchmarks to identify root causes of poor financial performance and develop action plans to improve.
reduce shrinkage. Advise on staff planning by collating information that affects short, medium- & long-term staff needs.
Compile action plans to improve on gross profit and to drive sales. Advise store manager around various initiatives to manage expenses.
Maintain close working relationships with SPAR retailers. Advise and assist retailers with retail growth, profitability and cash flow.
Ensuring that store standards are upheld according to SPAR specifications and the respective hygiene and store standards audits.
Compile Action plans, cash flow forecasts and feasibilities. Ensure that all controls are in place and are being consistently applied (i.
e. Stock Controls; GRV; Cash Management). Performing store audits through structured store visits and the provision of written reports.
Have the ability to implement and action Stock-takes. Implementation and managing of retail projects. Any other ad hoc duties as required by management.
Desired Experience & Qualification Skills, Knowledge and Experience Matric Finance or Business-related tertiary qualification Computer literacy (MS Office) Retail management experience preferably at management level Knowledge of FMCG is essential Valid driver’s license Competencies Good business acumen and operational financial skills The ability to develop an open, sincere, and trusting relationship with our retailer managers High energy level and the ability to operate under pressure Competent public speaker Must be willing to travel extensively
