PURPOSE OF ROLE :

To develop tactical strategy and delivery plans, formulate associated practice and to ensure operational implementation and adaption across a single practice i.

t.o. finance methodology, governance and delivery objectives.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The responsibilities will be varied and include the following critical performance areas :

Process :

  • Develop appropriate solutions to identified losses and risk exposures and ensure the effective implementation thereof
  • Ensure the compilation of reports to track longer term fixed assets movements and maintain financial records related to the organisation asset register
  • Provide advice to develop an annual risk-based audit plan that considers the relevant and evolving business risks facing the organisation
  • Ensure and assist with the sourcing, collation, analysis and interpretation of information to enable the review of financial business performance
  • Educate on, develop & ensure the implementation of research methodologies & techniques - enabling the monitoring of business activities
  • Develop tactical strategy and delivery plans in support of functional strategic objectives in partnership with leadership
  • Ensure timeous communication on progress and challenges in achieving tactical delivery plans to impacted stakeholders
  • Ensure the development, alignment and implementation of multiple practices and associated policies and guidelines
  • Analyse, interpret, and produce detailed reports explaining trends, discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Develop a plan for multi practice changes, specify the priorities of delivery plans and resources needed
  • Anticipate tactical strategy and practice issues and proactively develop solutions to enhance the quality of problem resolution
  • Provide timely reporting to relevant stakeholders to facilitate support with the fulfilment of governance responsibilities
  • Conduct sales planning and identify, plan for and pursue leads and campaigns
  • Customer :

  • Manage an integrated TCF service excellence culture, which builds rewarding relationships & provides opportunity for feedback and exceptional service
  • Define practices which build service delivery excellence according to TCF principles and encourage others to provide exceptional customer service
  • Finance :

  • Contribute to the development of functional budget, develop an aligned tactical budget, minimise expenditure and manage costs effectively
  • Plan, implement and monitor a cycle of medium-term cost improvements
  • Learning and Growth :

  • Develop and implement people capacity plans in line with delivery and performance objectives, on budget and in partnership with specialised areas
  • Positively influence and manage change by providing mechanisms and support to implement major changes in area of accountability
  • Governance :

  • Develop plans to implement corporate governance, compliance & ethics policies in multiple practice areas in order to identify & manage risk liabilities
  • SCOPE : Full-time position

    REQUIREMENTS :

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor’s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in a similar environment, of which 2 - 3 years at specialist level

  • Financial Accounting : Knowledge of financial accounting principles, classifying, measuring and recording transactions
  • Financial Acumen : Awareness of costing, budgeting and finance concepts and the understanding and application of related processes and procedures with relation to a functional role within the organisation
  • Financial and Accounting Control : Designs and implements effective financial and accounting controls
  • Financial Management : Compiles and manages budgets, controls cash flow, institutes ERM and administers tender procurement processes
  • Functional Policies and Procedures : The knowledge and interpretation of the functional policies and procedures, including monitoring their consistent application internally within the organisation
  • Policy implementation : The ability to develop, facilitate, manage and review policies and procedures and monitor and report on the implementation thereof
  • Reconciling Financial Records : The ability to prepare ledger account balances, reconciling them, and identifying any discrepancies and taking appropriate action
