A thorough understanding of Fabrication drawings.Strong auditing skills essential.Formal level 2 SAIW welding inspector qualification is a must.
Must have an IPE qualificationA formal QA course would be an advantage.Experience3-5 years working in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment.
DutiesQuality Control functions / activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection timely execution based on requests received and the collection of Quality Records.
Supports the Project Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.
Assesses the implementation of the Quality Control Plans.
Executes inspections, reports and the documentation required and file the required Quality Records in the data book.
Evaluates the qualifications of welders and Non Destructive Test-NDT technicians with regard to the activities assigned.
Coordinates the relevant Tracking Systems for correct identification of materials.
Manages the Non Destructive Test-NDT supplier and their activities.
Cooperate with the Quality Engineer (QE) to identify and analyse non conformities.
Ensure procedures are always followed.Random auditing of databooks while being complied and after completion.Reporting to the QC manager, additional tasks will be allocated from time to time.
