CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
To teach in the Foundation Phase.
To contribute to faculty administration as required.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Facilitate the learning processes in the faculty
Conduct, publish and promote research
Participate in academic engagement
Participate in faculty administration
Facilitation of learning
Facilitation of teaching subject areas in the Foundation Phase
A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in Foundation Phase
Ability to adapt teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
Ability to develop teaching materials for Foundation Phase teaching
Relevant M+4 qualification plus one year of relevant working experience.
Experience in teaching multilingual literacy (IsiXhosa, English, Afrikaans), Numeracy and Life Skills in Foundation Phase at school level
Possession of academic qualifications in teaching in the Foundation Phase
A sound disciplinary content knowledge in multilingual literacy (isiXhosa, English, Afrikaans), Numeracy and Life Skills
