Main Purpose :
As part of "continuous improvement" the maturity level of the existing products requires constant enhancement. This position has the responsibility to ensure that the T-Systems service offering remains relevant and be best of breed e.
g. T-Systems ability to implement and manage the Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop environment and provide 3rd Level Support services for Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM)
This role will be a shared service between WVD and SCCM.
Provisioning / Modification of Applications for the Azure WVD solution.
Interact and consult with the customer to determine their application requirements.
Implement, configure, maintain and continuously enhance Modern Desktop management toolsets such as the Microsoft Systems Centre Suite (focus on Configuration Manager), Mobile Device Management solutions (Intune), Windows 10, Cloud Computing and future related tools.
Continuous Service Improvements stay abreast of what Microsoft is doing.
Creation & Maintenance of Azure WVD Environment (Full Subscription Support)
To effectively facilitate the environment for technical testing and research for Proof of Concepts, system upgrades and service improvement.
Development and implementation of automation scripts, utilities and reports to enhance maturity of environment.
Identify and participate in developing integration layers with other workspace management toolsets.
Establish, enhance and drive daily health checks and configuration changes and participate in 3
level stand-by to enhance performance and stability.
Lead WVD incidents to resolution, including difficult and advanced incidents including RCA.
Qualifications and experience required :
Matric (NQF4) - compulsory
Tertiary IT qualification (Degree, Diploma, MCSE, etc.) - advantage
Microsoft Azure Administration required
Azure DevOps, Azure Automation and FSLogix experience
Full understanding of Azure ARM Templates and implementation
Application Packaging experience
Microsoft Configuration Manager 2012 or higher certification
Proven Modern Desktop Management toolset technology experience (Configuration Manager and / or Intune and / or Windows 10 Certification) - preferred
Group Policy configuration and Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM) - advantage
At least seven years computing experience (MS Wintel, MCSA, MCSE etc)
Development and scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell scripting, VB / .Net, Java scripting) - advantage
Good working knowledge of Networking - TCP / IP (Configuration of Client, Client Troubleshooting) - advantage
Good understanding of the relationship between Azure AD and conditional access to mobile device management in Intune, as well as MDM / MAM strategies, solutions and policies - advantage
Specific Certifications - preferred
MCSA - Windows 10
