Our Client a Leading Financial Institute is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team in Sandton.

Main Purpose Of The Job

The Talent Sourcing Specialist is responsible for realising the talent strategy and needs of the Group by sourcing, attracting and screening quality talent through a keen understanding of the industry, effective and engaging internal and external relationships and deep resourcing knowledge.

Key Areas Of Responsibility

  • Act as a discipline expert
  • Partner with Line Managers and HRBPs to understand recruitment and workforce needs and to develop appropriate sourcing strategies
  • Manage the end to end recruitment cycle (advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessing, offer management)
  • Attract, select and retain the right people from the internal and external market, leveraging our employer brand
  • Co-ordination of accurate JD's, assessments and relevant recruitment checks for each hire
  • Undertake third party vendor management
  • Drive process efficiencies
  • Reduce the recruitment costs across the Group
  • Ensure an inclusive and diverse workplace which reflects the communities in which we operate
  • Identify key performance factors, develop sourcing pools and establish interviewing criteria
  • Proactively create applicant pools and talent pipelines especially for high volume, income generating roles
  • Manage all and any recruitment risks
  • Monitor and interpret acquisition data and maintain knowledge management to identify trends and changes in the market and industry
  • Effectively manage talent acquisition costing, including agency fees and budgets for vacancies
  • Regular reporting to line and HRBPs
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with regulatory requirements
  • Co-ordinate onboarding and induction for new starters
  • Skills / Personal Attributes Required

  • Relevant HR / Industrial Psychology degree
  • Previous financial services experience would be an advantage
  • 3-5 years in a similar role
  • Experience identifying and attracting individuals with scarce skills as well as creating talent pools and pipelines
  • Adept at screening, assessing and managing candidates throughout a recruitment process
  • Knowledge / experience of HR systems / Recruitment portals
  • Critical and analytical thinking with the ability to apply judgement and common sense

  • Business acumen
  • Excellent MS Office skills with a strong focus on MS Excel
