Job Description : Our client is an international mining house who is seeking a Mine Manager, who will lead the Mining Team in the cost-effective optimisation and extraction of the ore body and to ensure compliance of provisions of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals Act and its Regulations.
The ideal incumbent will have experience Responsibilities : Manage the day-to-day operation of the mineEnsure that the work performed is in accordance with the prescribed trainingEnsure that the person performing the work has the required authorityOptimise Ore Body in compliance the Mine Planning and Exploitation StrategyManage the Strategic Plan (2-5 years)Manage the Life of Mine PlanManage the Tactical Plan (< 1 year)Manage Continuous Improvement through Operational ExcellenceCompile and control the Mining budgetManage SHEQ compliance within the Department through effective use of the ToolboxUtilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ statusEnsure an enabling climate / cultureManage performance against set targets and competenciesConduct career discussions and implement actions with all identified talent (quarterly)Ensure discipline is maintained (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.
