This Multinational's large automotive parts Johannesburg DC is currently about 5 500 square metres / stock holding approximately R130 Million and over 30 000 SKU's.

Very few environments have as many SKU's but to enhance a good fit for this role you could come from a logistics / warehouse service provider environment where you have had to handle some complexity due to a number of different principles i.

e. client companies, hence variety of stock items and different rules etc. to contend with. FMCG environments like Pick n Pay and Shoprite DC's which are also fast paced, high pressure, lots of different stock items and usually strongly SAP driven would also be a good environments to come from.

Need good overall warehouse operations supervisory experience. Purpose of role - Supervises the work of warehouse personnel, general receiving, binning, storage, stacking, picking, packing of finished products and packaging of materials, assembly duties and inventory management.

Ensures that Company's Warehouse procedures are followed in executing all the functions above and that all stock movements are correctly controlled and recorded.

Ensures good housekeeping and security within the Warehouse. Ensure that all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures and policies are observed always.

Ensures Warehouse equipment is maintained as per policy. Manage costs that are within his / her control, and ensures that Warehouse resources are sufficient for daily operations.

Develop and maintain Warehouse reports. Operational requirements - Ensures that re ceiving function is managed according to Company policies and agreed procedures Pre-

receiving documentation is received in time Stock received has been quality checked Binning takes place within 24 hours of receipt Vendor Score cards are completed per shipment Row counting is completed Bin consolidation and is continuously practiced Ensures that Dispatch functions are managed according to Company policies and agreed procedures.

Daily picks are released per delivery day requirements Picking rates meet agreed standards / targets Checking is 100% accurate All daily orders are completed accordingly Ensures that deliveries have been received by the customers On Time and in Full, with POD daily monitored.

Ensures that weekly / monthly and annual objectives and targets are met. Daily / weekly / monthly reports completed and published accordingly Financial Management -

Ensures that he / she understands the DC budget in detail and can account for every budget line. Reviews & analyse daily / weekly / monthly and yearly expenditure to ensure that all are in line with the budget.

  • All variances can be accounted for. People Management - Objectives and targets are communicated clearly to all members of his / her team;
  • Ensures that every employee in his / her team fully comprehends annual goals and objectives as well as daily / weekly / monthly targets;
  • Ensures that every employee has a development plan or at least has been given an opportunity to engage in development; Ensures that employee leave is planned in advance to ensure business continuity, and that employees take sufficient leave each year;
  • Manages employee relations including discipline and attendance. Resource and Equipment Management - Ensures that required resources are planned and procured accordingly for the day to day running of the business;
  • Packaging Material (Boxes, Lids, Tapes, Pallets, Strapping, Stationery etc); Vehicles Forklifts, Reach trucks, Trolleys, Pickers;
  • Protective clothing, etc.; Equipment (Machinery) is maintained as per manufactures specification or company standard; Vehicles are serviced as per manufactures specification;
  • Equipment utilization is managed as per agreed targets, no abuse is tolerated. SHEQ - Ensures principles, policies and procedures adhered to at all times and understood by employees.

    Reporting - Maintain daily / weekly / monthly reports; Assist with EXCO & EMEA monthly reports; Update & post daily / weekly / monthly operations reports.

    3-year tertiary qualification in Supply Chain / Logistics Relevant related experience within Supply Chain / Warehouse Expert knowledge of SAP, SAP WMS, BW and MS Office Suite Judgement / decision-

    making Organisational skills Accuracy and analytical skills Communication skills Supply Chain Knowledge In-depth business knowledge Please note that once per month on a Saturday or Sunday you will be required to work from 7.
