BrandsEye is a data technology business on a mission to improve how big businesses serve their customers. We do this by helping them find, analyze and prioritize their most important customer interactions.

We are a global company headquartered in London, with offices in South Africa (our home market) and the Middle East.

We are looking for an Account Director who is commercially minded, charismatic, and creative with a proven track record in software or research sales or account management.

We don't measure success by your former job titles but instead by what you achieved in those positions.

The Role :

We're looking for an experienced Account Director to join our African Business Development team. We would like the person to be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

However, as we are a remote working company, we will consider candidates in other locations.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of some of our biggest clients across Africa, spanning across Financial Services, Retail, Insurance, Telcos and others as needed.

Requirements : YOU WILL HAVE :


  • Experience forging relationships at the highest level in big B2C businesses Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Telcos in particular
  • Demonstrable experience in enterprise sales and account management, including managing a strategic revenue-generating portfolio
  • A passion for and strong understanding of technology - particularly all things data and AI
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills at C-suite or senior stakeholder level
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, performance-orientated environment
  • A curious, always-learning personality
  • Glowing references from those you worked with in the past

  • A target-driven, determined and energetic self-starter
  • A fantastic networker
  • Exposed to senior decision-makers at large corporations, across multiple industries in South Africa and Africa
  • A collaborative colleague who builds strong relationships internally as well as externally

  • Able to travel locally (frequently) and internationally (on occasion)
  • An exceptional relationship builder, highly persuasive and excellent at getting things done
  • An effective communicator; when you talk, people listen (in person and on email)
  • Able to talk confidently to senior executives and effect key decisions
  • Willing to embrace all aspects of working in a fast-growing business, from managing day-to-day admin, to presenting at conferences or pitching CXOs from some of SA's biggest blue-chip companies

  • Have team management / leadership experience
  • Have Customer Experience, Customer Service and / or Market Conduct regulatory experience
  • Have a senior network in Financial Services / Insurance / Telcos / Retail in SA and Africa
  • Speak multiple languages
