In this exciting role new role based in Johannesburg, South Africa in the SSA Head Office, you'll be responsible for the recruitment, management and business development of strategic Cloud Service Provider partners within an assigned territory.
We're looking for someone to drive adoption of VMware Products, services and technologies into SP Partners, as well as provide mentorship to Service Providers and Solution Providers.
All of this is to enable them to hit the market with VMware based service offers, whilst orchestrating the resources of the extended VMware Team, such as the Global Cloud Practice, Hyperscaler Specialists, Systems Engineers, Field Sales Teams and Marketing.
In addition to these Sell To selling motions above, you'll drive dedicated "Sell With and Through" initiatives to accelerate and grow mutual business.
You'll take the lead on fund utilization & marketing / demand generation planning, sales and technical enablement, and end-customer pipeline development and management.
One of the key aspects of your role will be developing and making the most of effective customer relationships at all levels - especially CXO's and across Sales, Marketing and Technical leadership teams.
Help our Service Providers embrace VMware's exciting range of services, products and technologies that will drive revenue and align with VMware’s vision and strategy.
You will lead Business Development planning and execution
Co-Sell with VMware’s Core Sales across Software Rental, PSO and MSP offerings
Take responsibility for all assigned Sales goals and MBO's.
Develop and maintain customer relationships at Senior and CXO leadership levels
Engage with and utilise the VMware Aggregators supporting our Service Providers, to ensure accurate and on-time software and Service Usage reporting.
We need you to have multiple years of experience in selling software & project into Service Providers and / or have worked in a Cloud Service Provider
Excellent presentation skills for a CxO level audience
Have a strong record selling software, technology products and services, To’ and Through’ Service Providers

The ability to recognize, analyze, and take action on, Go-to-Market approaches, marketing programs, joint value propositions, and business cases around strategic partnerships.
Knowledge of Cloud Computing and key elements of virtualized infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-a-Service(IaaS),Platform-as-a-Service(PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) models.
Expertise in spotting and executing the right solutions and value selling
Strong commercial business acumen and negotiation abilities.
