Introduction : The Campaign Specialist contributes to the organisational goals as custodian of Campaign Management governance and subject matter expert of the organisation’s campaign management framework.

Description : The Campaign Specialist is a subject matter expert in campaigns and therefore plays a key role in the setting up of all NEW campaigns.

  • NEW business campaigns are all campaigns where no historical data exist as to modelling, segmentation, call arrival patterns etc.
  • NEW campaign modelling : Propose the best course of action in order to get the best penetration by using modelling, data washing etc.
  • Computer programming (preferably SAS, R, Java, SQL and Python) ? Machine learning (supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning) ?
  • The Campaign Specialist will for all NEW campaigns, as part of the design process of such campaigns, work with the Data Analytics team in order to : Executive Head of Sales & Distribution Senior Manager Campaign Specialist & Data science Campaign & Data administrors Page 4 of 5 o Design the appropriate propensity model;
  • o Agree on the best course of action for execution in order to obtain the best sales penetration; o Design the initial data strategy e.

    duping of data; ? Monitor and report on the application of and adherence to applicable regularity regulations and rules of campaign management by both campaign management and business operations, in order to thereby mitigate risk.

  • Perform ongoing governance checks and inform Campaign Management of potential risks. ? Run De-dups, as well as propensity / proxy modelling.
  • Strategize Sales optimization and Enablement initiatives to reduce AHT, as well as improve performance and / or efficiency as it pertains to insights re system / process / compliance and data.
  • Strategize improved contactability and performance uplift for NEW campaigns e.g. ITC runs, improved modelling strategize uplift initiatives.
  • Enable business as the Campaign Management SME by providing relevant insights on campaign management. ? Source and prepare additional data sets for Business and Campaign Management, as and when requested, in order to ensure optimal use of trough periods in Outbound Sales areas e.
  • g. re-runs of old campaign sets / competition data etc. (this ensures that additional volumes can be uploaded as data sets if operations run out of data.

    Provide insight to support Business and Campaign management with smart decision making e.g. Diminishing return models (checks after how many attempts a campaign becomes unprofitable this should guide campaign priorities), cost per attempt, optimal focus per campaign type (include effort models in relation to the value and cost e.

    g. if we spend 70% of our time in dials on a campaign that generates 20% of our income whilst we could be lifting attempts on a different campaign where benefit outweighs effort, we need to shift focus) ?

    Provide a strategic view of contact centre seats costs : Acquisition costs vs. Income. Requirements : Analytics or MI experience ?

    Data management experience ? At least 5-7 years’ experience in Direct Marketing & Campaign Management Grade 12 (Standard 10) with University Entrance (NQF4) ?

    Honours Degree in a quantitative field : mathematics, statistics or computer science. Post-honours academic certification in data science topics (i.

    e. machine learning, data visualisation, natural language processing, etc)
