Port Elizabeth - The General Manager’s role is to oversee the business plan implementation and contribute to key business goals whilst meeting financial and operational objectives.
This will be done while : Overseeing the management of the Production, Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, HR, and HSEE departments Ensuring adherence to statutory compliance to ensure that all customer requirements and internal processes are met Driving continuous improvement in the plant Championing corporate culture & employee relationships Developing strategies to improve overall quality and productivity Anticipate customer needs and develop solutions to meet those needs while constantly developing customer relationships The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements : Degree in Operations / Business Management Minimum of 15 years’ management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment with experience in strategic business planning.
EBITDA; Budgeting and costing). Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing principles with a proven track record of implementation.
Overseeing daily business activities, improving overall business functions, training heads of departments, managing budgets, developing strategic plans, creating policies, and communicating business goals (KPI Management).
Defining long-term strategic goals and developing clear plans to implement them Knowledge and experience in a fully integrated IT system (preferably SYSPRO).
