Position Description :

Exciting opportunities are available for graduates to gain experience in their field of study through 12-month internships at our Head Office in Cape Town!

We need young, talented individuals with a range of skills to join our team as interns in an exciting, ever-growing space! There are a range of different intern roles available (read more about these below).

To apply you need to have :

A minimum of a qualification in Clothing Management or Clothing Production (or similar)

Must be a South African Citizen

Currently unemployed

Currently between the ages of 18 35 years old

Must be available from March 2020 for the duration of the internship

An eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills

Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

The ability to build and maintain healthy relationships

To be self-motivated, and take responsibility for your own development

To be a team player

To be proactive

A strong ability to learn

A good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel

See below a list of the exciting roles available to interns :

Pattern Designer Intern (TFGA) :

The Pattern Design Intern will be responsible for designing patterns according to the requirement specified in the Designer’s sketch and ensure that the pattern is manufacturable in a production environment.

During this internship, you will make use of knowledge of fabric and garment construction together with basic pattern blocks to create a pattern that will be both visibly appealing and conform to retail specifications.

Merchandise Planner Intern (TFGA) :

The Merchandise Planner Intern is responsible for ensuring all critical path milestones are adhered to from concept to deliver.

In addition, they will work to support the effective replenishment process to meet customer requirements and ensure system integrity is maintained by all users in the team.

Apparel Garment Technologist (TFGMP) :

The Apparel Garment Technologist Intern plays an important role in maintaining and approving the Divisional and Departmental quality standards through the pre-seasonal and pre-production sample approval process.

This ensures that there is clarity on what can be expected in terms if the final product that will be available to the customer.

Other roles include :

Pre-Production Coordinator Intern (TFGA)

Raw Materials Merchandiser Intern (TFGA)

Marker Maker Intern (TFGA)

Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the

Employment Equity Act .
