To lead the team and provide expertise on future best practice for turnaround, exit functions and enterprise development and application of these functions across segments JOB DESCRIPTION Detail the key processes and tools to ensure the development of strong value creation plans and business cases for portfolio companies o post-acquisition, working in accordance with the Board and management team, to ensure delivery of the investment plan, and on an ongoing basis, operational review and improvement, restructuring or re-engineering the business to maximise value on-going operational focus, regularly reviewing financial and operational performance of the portfolio companies.
Design and implement an appropriate governance structure that will ensure appropriate decision making at different levels (Business Partner / Portfolio Companies, Portfolio Segments and Portfolio) Develop a training manual or guide for company Portfolio Associates for value creation for all segments.
Provide input to the Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist on the process and workflow digitalization requirements at the different levels, (Business Partner, Segment and Portfolio) to ensure the enablement of various triggers and exception reports.
Ensure that training of company permanent employees takes place and that assistance required for the successful implementation of the TOM takes place QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED A relevant Postgraduate Bachelor’s degree in Business / Commercial field is essential MBA / MBL would be advantageous KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 5-8 years’ experience working with a strategy consulting firm with well-grounded experience in Strategic and operational improvement Operational experience in an Investment Management firm, ideally operating within a company business unit or management team Experience working in Portfolio Management for a commercial bank with a large loan book.
Experience working for a Private Equity fund or in a strategic or operational role for a Private Equity backed business.
Intellectual agility, able to quickly understand the value drivers of diverse sectors and businesses.
