Position Details :

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to :

Development and execution of Project Procurement and Contracting Plans

Pro-active sourcing of materials and services locally and internationally

Contracting and Compliance administration tasks and systematic filing

Negotiation of commercial and legal Ts & Cs

Preparation of tenders, contracts, statements of work, material and service orders with new and existing suppliers, within tight timeframes

Ability to work with Company and Supplier legal counsels on contract reviews and redline negotiations

Coordinate and facilitate the preparation of supplier qualifications and vendor creation through a Shared Services team

Interface with Business Leaders, Managers, Business Representatives, Suppliers and Other Stakeholders locally and internationally regarding contracting and procurement matters

Apply policies and practices to improve business results while maintaining positive relationships

Navigate and use procurement systems including Ariba, SAP and MS Office

Manage Total Cost of Ownership by applying Category Management best practices to meet business objectives

Able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment

Manage own time to ensure efficient and productive work output

Required (Basic) Qualifications / Skills / Experience :

Relevant degree in Business / Supply Chain Management, Law or Engineering

Experience using Ariba and SAP Procurement / Materials Management systems

Experience with NEC3 / 4 and FIDIC model form agreements

Strategic Sourcing and Supplier (+Subcontractor) Management experience

Procurement / Supply Chain knowledge and / or experience

Familiar with the P2P processes

Commercial / legal Acumen / Business Savvy

Strong planning, prioritization and time-management skills

Strong communication, organizational and administration skills

Ability to handle high volume of workload with competing priorities and deadlines

Strong work ethic and commitment to deliver results the right way yet with a sense of urgency

Ability to function individually and in a team with minimal supervision.

Good negotiation and problem solving skills

Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Ability to build strong customer-focused relationships with Business Partners

A change agent

Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience :

MCIPS

Manufacturing work experience within Oil and Gas / relevant industry

Experience in developing and applying total cost ownership (TCO), Should Cost Modeling, Price / Cost Analysis, Risk management and other category management techniques

Direct experience in analyzing, reviewing, and negotiating agreements / contracts

Experience in domestic and international agreements

International / Relocation Considerations :

Relocation within South Africa may be considered.
