Summary of Position :

The primary objective in this role is to comply with all mandatory requirements, manage internal and external customers and deliver excellent customer service for the MWOS Group.

Your role is to learn, support, advise and direct the business in all aspects of customer service that could lead the business to high levels of customer retention under supervision of Senior traders.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational

  • Responsible for odds making and pricing horse racing daily
  • Horse racing trading and monitoring betting
  • Monitoring losses on all venues daily
  • Laying bets for VIP clients
  • Approving bets for branches
  • Maintain a high level of awareness
  • Develop trading skills by working with senior members
  • Performance Standards
  • Ensuring odds are correct and competitive at all times and in all centres
  • Responsible for closing of events timeously
  • Keeping track of staff shortages (incorrect bets taken) and reporting it to senior management for processing

  • Providing an excellent, good quality customer service at all times.
  • Ensuring that your workplace is clean and presentable
  • Ensure customers are aware of all bet types in order to increase customer satisfaction
  • Ensure communication skills are good in order to provide information to customers clearly and concisely
  • Ensuring adhere to the code of conduct when engaging with branches
  • Ensuring that breach in policy is reported to the Senior Management / Operations

  • Make recommendations and suggestions of advertising / marketing opportunities to the Marketing Department
  • Make recommendations on how to increase clientele

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Matric with Mathematics & Accounting / Economics
  • Certificate in relevant field is advantageous
  • Interest in financial / risk analysis
  • Forex experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Turfsport software is advantageous
  • Previous experience in a similar environment / position is advantageous
  • Preferably own transport
  • Must be able to work early morning and evening shifts
