  • Maintaina stock holding of consumables and hardware items to enable property to bemaintained and serviced on a timely and regular basis;
  • Tomonitor stock holdings and place orders (via the Procurement Manager) forreplenishing depleted stocks in order to avoid any delays in regular servicingand necessary emergency repair work;
  • Tosecure and keep accurate current records of all products kept in the stores;
  • Ensureall relevant financial documentation is processed accurately and handed in tothe Finance Department;
  • Monitorusage of consumables and hardware and keep accurate records of allissues / receiving / breakages / dispatches / shortages and ensure any discrepanciesare reported immediately and investigated;
  • Toliaise with all departments as to what their current and future forecastrequirements are in order to ensure :
  • o Thereis sufficient stock available when projects come on line;
  • o Thatorders are placed at the correct time to commensurate with the lead timesrequested and negotiated with suppliers

  • When suppliers deliver to the store the documentation is checked for the South Point Order / Reference number and where presented against the copy of the original order to ensure that :
  • o Thestock on the suppliers documentation match those on the original order and thatthe items are being delivered to the correct address;
  • o Thestock items are recorded for the relevant manager;
  • o Copiesof the Delivery Notes / Invoices are kept on file and periodic checks are done toensure all stock items relevant to the documentation have been recordedcorrectly

  • Ensureall storerooms and cages are securely locked;
  • Ensurethat the storerooms are clean and tidy;
  • Maintainstock levels in terms of minimum & maximum stock levels
  • Stockanalysis of slow moving stock and make recommendations
  • Managestock write offs through a bi-annual analysis and motivation
  • Driveand complete quarterly stock count and engage with all relevant parties
  • Reviewcurrent stock systems controls and process and make recommendations aboutimprovements according to Company standards
  • Ensureall receiving and dispatching is carried out according to company policy andprocedure;
  • Maintaina tight control over all procedures in order minimise shrinkage;
  • Managementof subordinates to ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times;
  • Ensuredirect subordinates are trained and developed in accordance with the companyobjectives; and
  • Allother ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

  • Stock and store management qualification / background and at least 3 yearswork experience

  • Experience to be related to stock manager as the role entails managingthe stores on national level;
  • Computer literate;
  • o Oracle knowledgewill be beneficial

    o Advanced excel knowledge

    o Knowledge of Power Point and presentation knowledge

  • Financial analysis of stock trend analysis
