Well established manufacturing client based in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a Sales and Reporting Clerk to join their finance department.

The core requirements for the position include :
Matric and progress towards an accounting qualification
Experience in a finance department in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
Ability to work with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Computer literacy, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Understanding of management accounting and costing principles will be an added advantage
Experience with
Processing of debit and credit notes
Preparation of sales reconciliations
Preparation of schedules and calculations for sales journals
Preparation of schedules / workings for freight and duties journals
Preparation of revenue reconciliations by market segments and regions
Reconciliation and invoicing to verify the closing balance
Preparation of the rolling margin and contributions reconciliations
Preparation of general ledger reconciliations within the specified time frame
Prepare the stats and VAT reports
Preparation of schedules required for monthly management accounts and reporting
Assistance with the interim and year-end inventory counts
Assistance with queries and analysis of sales and cost of sales
Support with internal and external audits
