Project Manager- Testing & Commissioning Job ID996200 Job TypePermanent Full-time LocationAus - Sydney CategoriesCPB Contractors Back to results Apply Now Share Applications close 11 Feb 2022 AUS Eastern Daylight Time Systems Connect (an unincorporated Joint Venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Engineering) is delivering the Line-wide Works (LW Works) package of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest (SMCSW) project, which will extend Sydney Metro Northwest to the CBD and beyond to Bankstown.

SMCSW is being delivered through a suite of contracts for the tunnels, stations, line-wide infrastructure and systems. One of the key packages of work includes the fit out of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest tunnels and stations including provision of track, overhead wiring, HV reticulation, tunnel ventilation, fire services tunnel services.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Testing and Commissioning Manager to join our team. This role will be required for the duration of the project (expected mid 2023).

  • The scope will be to manage and provide support to the Testing and Commissioning Team; adhering to testing principles, practices and procedures;
  • and ensuring the finished product is safe and conforms in all standards and requirements.About the Role Manage preparation of Testing and Commissioning Plans, Sub-Plans, Testing Specifications, Procedures and Test Documentation as required for the projectReview the Testing and Commissioning Documentation from sub-contractorsEnsure testing targets and objectives being met as defined in the project programLead the planning and control of all testing requirements, resources and test equipmentProvide tracking, reporting and forecasting for T&C resources and activityPlan and organise possessions, outages and necessary precautions required for the safe testing & commissioning of the works, in liaison with the sub-contractors, Joint Venture partners, clients representative, the Authority and the Project / Construction Manager About You You want to be part of something bigger, whatever the challenge you see it as the chance to create value.

    Ideally you will have : Tertiary (Bachelor) degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical EngineeringExperience in rail systems testing and commissioning activitiesUnderstanding and ability to implement a quality system including preparation and implementation of ITPs, QA registers etc.

    Ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
