JOB TITLE Assistant Technician
DEPARTMENT Technical Services - Retail
REPORTING TO Technical Manager
LOCATION Durban, Kwazulu Natal
Willing to do after hour callouts
Willing to travelling long distance when needed
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The prime objective is to assist the technicians on site with installation, repair and maintenance of fuel management systems ie.
ATG, Pumps and E Fuel equipment
To ensure that service and maintenance calls are attended and completed within set SLA’s.
Calls are resolved first time of attendance
Ensure that quality of work done is exceptional at all time, maintain housekeeping.
High level of professionalism is maintained
Provide detailed information on the Job card
Report on incident and near misses
Ensure that safety compliance is always adhered to
Ensure that safe driving is always practiced including but not limited to Over speeding, usage of cellular phones while driving, seat belts etc.
Ensure that proper PPE is always worn
Ensure relevant paperwork Job cards are submitted on time daily
Assist with van stock to ensure it is maintained and used stock is always booked out of the van stock and replenished
Provide feedback to the office where required that you communicate effectively when delayed etc.
First Aid / Fire watch duties on site
Assisting technicians with installations, repairs and maintenance
Assist with all hsse including checklists and inspections.
All Training must be attended and refresher courses requested if required.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education / achievements
Matric with at least N4 in electrical, Mechanical or electronics engineering
Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics Engineering
Experience / Knowledge
At least 1 years working experience as a Field technician.
Proficient computer skills
Accuracy, efficiency, and reliability are key skills to be successful in this position
Ability to communicate quickly and effectively both written and verbal
