Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required : -

  • Diploma or B.Sc / BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
  • 3 years experience in BI Software Development with pre-requisite being Power BI and and Qlikview.
  • Experience working with Microsoft NAV.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Project management experience.
  • Understanding of financial and management reporting principles.
  • Principle Deliverables : -

    Business Intelligence :

  • Interview, facilitate, and take report specifications from internal clients and management.
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications.
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools).
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
  • Create tools to store data.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.
  • Data Visualization and Communication :

  • Visualizing and communicating data.
  • Be familiar with the tools necessary to visualise data, and the principles behind visually encoding data and communicating.
  • Manage relationships with subject matter experts to make sure data is accurate.
  • Project Management :

  • Deliver solutions for clients.
  • Data modelling for custom solutions.
  • Ensure that projects are fulfilled in terms of its scope, work, breakdown, objectives and outputs.
  • Execute duties and assignments as directed in compliance with corporate guidelines and objectives.
  • Change Management :

  • Prepare change plans (reason, impact, roll out plan, back out plan).
  • Research and Development :

  • Brainstorming.
  • Research and development on ongoing projects and business specific projects.
  • Support business functions by providing information and innovative solutions.
  • Keep abreast of developments / new technology, processes and equipment.
  • Ability to analyse new trends and data and apply the knowledge where applicable.
