The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for capturing, validating, documenting and communicating requirements for tenders (RFI, RFP) and projects and aligning these to current business processes.

The Lead Business Analyst will serve as the client advocate during the project lifecycle to ensure business requirements

and processes are understood and addressed during the SLDC phase. These

Duties :

  • The Lead Business Analyst supports the Business Partner Director by preparing accurate business requirements to support the business case for tenders and projects
  • Leads business requirements workshops to identify and gather business requirements; business rules; business processes, data validation rules;
  • data migration requirements; functional and non-functional requirements for both current and future business processes

  • Is responsible to document and prioritise these requirements and transfer knowledge to project delivery teams
  • Outline broad aspects of possible solutions to the problem in conjunction with Business Partners and any relevant SME (such as Architects)
  • Ensure that proposed solutions meet the needs of multiple competing stakeholder groups, within the end-to-end business process, ensuring that is acceptable to all groups
  • Develop project rationale and perform scoping assessments to determine feasibility of project / business case
  • Mentor Business Analysts
  • Highlight / identify gaps in existing functionality and review requirements with stakeholders
  • Develop a comprehensive requirement specifications that will determine the estimate of cost, time and resources to deploy solutions
  • Contribute to all business impact analysis reports to assist business partners with appropriate information about new business requirements and alignment to prioritised IT roadmap
  • Contribute to project estimates and complete financial modes (costs, savings, revenue opportunities, investment horizon)
  • Key Attributes & Competencies :

  • Strong communication - ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups to agree on a single set prioritised requirements
  • Proven analytical skills - ability to understand business requirements with experience of analysing problems and information using structured frameworks and methodologies
  • Strong customer focus - align project delivery to meet business requirement
  • Ability to analyse effectively - analyse and refine and capture all business requirements for delivering the necessary technology service to business
  • Experience :

  • 6-8+ years of Business Analysis and Business Process Modelling
  • Oracle BPM, UML, BPMN, Agile and BABOK experience an advantage
  • IIBA (or similar) certification
  • Industry knowledge will be an advantage
