Enko Riverside International School is looking for an experienced Cambridge Coordinator to serve in Maputo, Mozambique. The deadline to apply is January 31st, 2022.

Essential skills

    The Cambridge Coordinator is responsible for :

  • Administering and coordinating all aspects of the school’s IGCSE Programme, ensuring that all programme requirements are met per CIE’s standards and in a manner that reflects positively on the school;
  • Supporting and advising teaching staff regarding the administration of the IGCSE programme and ensuring that all coursework and examination requirements are met within the stipulated deadlines;
  • Assisting the academic team to make available all the required resources and equipment for the delivery of the IGCSE Programme;
  • Administering and monitoring students’ IGCSE option choices (where applicable);
  • Preparing an annual report for the administration and Board following each IGCSE examination session;
  • Analysing and reporting on student results in the IGCSE programme both for internal and public consumption;
  • Mentoring and providing support for teaching staff to deliver the programme;
  • Coordinating IGCSE exams and organises all external assessments for students to ensure the examinations are conducted in line with CIE’s requirements and standards;
  • Inducting new staff into the IGCSE curriculum;
  • Working closely with the Leadership Team and teachers to ensure continuous improvement of the programme quality;
  • Managing invigilators : this includes training new invigilators and updating existing invigilators on rules and regulation changes on an annual basis;
  • Updating examination-related policies;
  • Managing the examination entry process, including gathering information from teaching staff to ensure that students’ examination entries are made correctly and on time;
  • Managing the examination preparation process : this includes preparing examination schedules for students and staff; creating seating plans for each examination room;
  • briefing candidates, staff and parents; receiving, checking and securely storing confidential examination materials; administering internal and external assessment;
  • Managing examination days following awarding body regulations, including preparing for each exam day, starting an examination, dealing with emergencies, irregularities and malpractice, ending the exams, collecting the examination scripts and packing and dispatching examination scripts;
  • Managing examination results : this includes accessing results electronically / downloading results from awarding secure body sites, and preparing for results to be disseminated to each student / candidate.

  • Three years’ proven successful teaching success with the relevant age range;
  • A recognised teaching qualification at graduate or postgraduate level;
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
