Job description includes, but not limited to : -
Monitoring of connectivity
Reporting and following up on disconnected services
Should connectivity be down for more than 2 hours an alternative solution should be proposed and implemented for the interim?
L ogging of calls
All request needs to be logged on our helpdesk and updated daily with progress
No work will be done without a reference number from our helpdesk, should the client have the need, a call will be logged on the clients’ behalf
VOX Bidvest technician will be required to follow-up, chase and provide feedback on all calls logged with Vox operations, VTSC and 3
party vendors for the client.
Vox Bidvest technician will be required to liaise with 3
party IT vendors on client’s behalf.
Vox Bidvest technician will be required to arrange collection and drop of, new / faulty stock to and from Vox Head Office accompanied with the relevant paper work.
All IT queries will be attended to by the Vox Bidvest technician, should assistance be required, calls may be escalated to the Vox Premium Service Desk with all the relevant trouble shooting steps already performed, a follow up call to the relevant senior tech will be made to ensure the senior tech is aware and working on the escalated call.
The onsite Vox Bidvest tech will provide feedback once escalated calls are resolved
Systems Vox Bidvest tech will be responsible for :
Telephony, Mobiles Devices connected to Hosted PBX
A+ and N+ certificate
3 years Installs and Maintenance Experience
2 years Sound understanding of telecommunications systems
1 year Sound understanding of networking & data
1 year Sound Understanding of PC Operating systems
1 year GSM Data technology understanding
Problem solving and analytical skills
Written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical documentation and technical procedural skills
