Minimum requirements for the role :

  • The successful candidate must have a matric with good attention to detail.
  • Previous experience having worked as a Receptionist or Office Administrator managing the Reception as well as all office administration for Senior Management is essential.
  • The successful candidate must be computer literate and have basic Excel skills.
  • The successful candidate must be able to multi-task and have good communication skills as the person will be liaising with Customers.
  • The successful candidate should have a confident and likeable personality being able to build relationships both internally with Colleagues and Customers.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Answering and managing the switchboard.
  • Transferring calls to the relevant departments as well as taking detailed messages and giving it to the relevant departments.
  • Ordering globe flight flyers and waybills.
  • Ordering of Company refreshments and groceries as well as stationery for the Office.
  • Reconciling and managing the petty cash.
  • Monitoring and recording all petty cash sales for the Accounts Department.
  • Assisting with booking car rentals for the Sales Staff, as well as other arrangements required.
  • Handling and organising all Company functions from time to time.
  • Planning year-end functions for the Company as well as setting up the meeting room for meetings and conferences.
  • Requesting quotations and preparing yearly calendar and desk pad list for employees.
  • Preparing and sending weekly invoices, delivery notes, local purchases and documentation to Durban.
  • Booking and maintaining training records.
  • Maintaining Office printers and scanners.
  • Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
