Ensures GMP, EHS and Quality requirements are met in the area of responsibility. Ensures equipment reliability by Implementing and executing proper Good Engineering Practices (GEP) In order to support the delivery of the Production Plan and operational efficiency requirements.
Actively participates in the identification and Implementation of continuous Improvements Initiatives. Ensure wastages are minimized and packaging costs contained or Improved.
Duties I Responsibilities : Ensure GMP, EHS and Quality compliance during the execution of maintenance activities and ail related tasks.
Ensures compliance with work Instructions according to the relevant SOP's. Contributes to the reduction of NCs (Non-Conformances), deviations and complaints.
Participates In root cause analysis, countermeasures identification and implementation of CAPAs. Assist with the update or creation of new SOPs and work instructions as required.
Provide equipment operational training for staff on the appropriate SOP's, Wl's and any other procedures that may affect compliance and performance of equipment.
Lead, support and drives continuous improvement and OEE Initiatives. Execute planned preventative maintenance according to the schedule and perform maintenance tasks on production equipment and services in the event of a breakdown.
Support Site Acceptance Tests, Installation, operational and performance qualification of new equipment as required. Provide operational support in order to meet Production Plan requirements.
Review and update all planned maintenance schedules to ensure effective maintenance practices. Identify and maintain critical spare parts of equipment.
Ensure that the settings of equipment are correct and In line with the relevant SOP's and set-up checklists. Maintain the quality and condition of tooling and all equipment change parts.
Provides back-up assistance to equipment operators in the event of absenteeism or lack of required skill to continue normal operations.
Qualifications Qualifications I Experience I Requirements : Matric, Grade 12 or N3 Qualified Fitter & Turner I Electrician I Millwright (Artisan qualification) with completed apprenticeship and hold a valid trade test certificate 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
3 years' experience in operational and maintenance of plant machines and services PLC knowledge could be advantageous Good technical aptitude - be able to fault find and repair minor breakdowns Ability to follow clear instructions e.
