To provide service activities on company systems, including installation, discontinuance, relocation, diagnosis, emergency repair etc.
while minimizing equipment downtime, ensuring client satisfaction, and assisting less experienced field engineers providing on-the-job training and work direction as well as to be responsible for supporting SGS''s client base.
Direct the information and data integrity of the company and its business units.
Implement IT projects in the region and objectives of the information technology needs of the company to ensure the computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of the company''s growth
Self-development within the IT team. Need to stay up-to-date with technologies relevant to support SGS environment.
Use and provide input for improvement of operating policies and approaches for computing and information technology.
Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
Control the quality, timeliness and costs of the (IT) daily operational tasks.
Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
Assess new computing technologies to determine potential value for the company.
Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions / departments / sites in computing and information technology efforts.

A+ / N+ or MCDST
MCSE will be an advantage
Strong MS Office Applications Knowledge required
Strong SQL and Database Knowledge required
SharePoint knowledge will be an advantage
Cclass (SLIMS) Applications will be an advantage
Financial Applications will be an advantage
Minimum 3 year IT experience in a client and system support capacity.
Experience with implementation of information technology integrations.
Experience required in desktop / laptop hardware troubleshooting and support as well as Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft Office applications setup, configuration and support.
Server hardware and software support experience
Network operations knowledge
Database support experience. (SUN, SQL)
Microsoft SharePoint portal knowledge and website administration experience will be an advantage
Crystal Reporting will be an advantage
Computer and Information Literacy
Ability to support the IT environment; i.e. availability of data and systems, usage of tools to support and improve the implemented systems and client base as well as to keep the infrastructure updated.
