As an Online Merchant, your responsibilities will be :
Manage the flow of products onto the Foschini e-commerce website, including managing the samples, photography and images process.
On a daily basis ensuring products are published to the site once it is in stock at OTD and navigable online.
Ensuring product descriptions and attributes are written accurately, and as compelling sales tools, in line with SEO requirements, and loaded onto the websites via Omni Product and BCC.
Managing a communications, marketing and product launch calendar to ensure marketing, buyers and Omni Merchants are aligned.
Curate and brief the design work on the site / s to ensure all the mailers, banners, artwork, promotions and inspiration is displayed in a manner that is both on-
brand and positioned to drive the revenue on the site / s. Uncover creative ways to present the site / s in such a way to drive additional revenue and trade.
Setting up online offers, loading creative and removing once promo ends.
Manage and monitor monthly SOH (Stock on Hand) to meet sales targets
Liaising with the Marketing and Omni Channel support team regarding technological improvements and content calendar alignment.
Compile weekly performance reports and ensure that all key KPIs are met.
Liaise with merchandise teams with regards to new product launches and final product samples to be handed over for photography
Manage traffic flow between Marketing and Paid Advertising Partners
Weekly site audits and site maintenance (Out of stocks, updating New In and Sale categories)
Brief Call Centre on upcoming promos and resolve customer queries asap / on a daily basis
To apply you need to have :
A business degree or related diploma
High degree of numeracy and analytical, detailed, systematic and strategic approach to work
Computer literacy and some experience of CMS (Content Management System), POS (Point of Sale) or planning systems
Excellent Excel skills
Strong potential for business acumen and merchant thinking
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Comfortable with the use of and ability to learn new digital technologies
Ability to understand web analytics, tracking and reporting
A resourceful and can-do attitude to all eventualities
Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
