Our client in the manufacturing / automotive industry is currently looking to employ a Quality Manager.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
Support the company in ensuring integrity / quality of harnesses delivered. Support the company in implementing and maintaining and integrated business management system.
Support quality assurance activities in manufacturing areas. Support Changes / APQP activities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible to define and implement the Plant Integrated Business System (ISO / TS 16949 to IATF 16949) as well as to update it according to the Quality Manual and Procedures.
Coordinate all 2nd and 3rd party system audit activities
Responsible to monitor internal audit activities and report on effectiveness of business system to management team
Ensure Legal Compliance Audit is scheduled and performed annually and monitor close out of all items highlighted.
Support Plant Manager to coordinate Annual Quality and EMS Reviews
Report on quality metrics daily, weekly and monthly
Quality Management Representative for ISO / TS 16949
EMS Management Representative for ISO 14001
Defines, plans and implements advanced quality procedures for new products.
Provides planning, leadership and consultative support for the implementation and maintenance of customer quality system requirements and continuous improvement methodologies at Plant level.
Assure the correct management of the customer quality complaints, including the ones referred to as products which are under warranty.
Ensure containment and rework activities at the company or at the customer are performed effectively as per company procedure
Authority to stop line / production to correct quality concerns
Leads the necessary internal activity to avoid customer complaints.
Follow-up the satisfaction quality indexes agreed with the customer and global company.
Supervises the correct implementation of production quality assurance activities
Support Quality War Room Meetings and the effectiveness thereof
Support Engineering Change and APQP / PPAP
Health, Safety and Environmental :
Maintain all records within area of responsibility.
Define and maintain internal procedures (according to company policies) in area of responsibility.
Monthly MOS report graphs on Written Concerns / RPPM / IPPM / DPPM / Sorting / Rework Costs / Best in Quality / APQP Activities / 8D’s / Deviations / Dock Audits Assembly / Process Audits / Internal System Audits / Supplier Quality / Lab activities
Ensure all subordinates have received relevant training and are competent in their activities performed
Responsible for respecting company safety and environmental rules.
Learn the rules; understand them; follow them; and avoid short cuts;
Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, your co-workers, and equipment free of hazards;
Be certain that you completely understand instructions before starting work;
Safeguard any information considered as privileged from customer or the company.
Proceed in their activity without being exposed to danger, accidents or professional illness for both himself / herself and his colleagues.
Educational Requirements :
Technical University Degree (Preferred Industrial Technical Engineer, Electronics / Mechanics intensification). A formal recognized Quality and QMS qualification is essential.
Related Experience :
At least 5 years Management experience fully responsible for a QA Department in a medium to large plant preferably in an automotive manufacturing facility.
Previous working experience in the company or exposure to wiring plant advantageous. Previous experience working with customer quality resolution advantageous
