Our client, a national franchise brand is seeking experienced Restaurant Managers for the Pretoria and Centurion areas. The purpose of the role is to safeguard the financial success of the restaurant by ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability in accordance with the franchise’s brand and operating standards.
Key Performance Areas :
Management of staff performance reviews, development of personal development plans, performance management, disciplinary processes, motivating staff, management of Department of Labour audits, training, reviewing payroll, leave, claim and advance reports, recruitment and induction of new staff and exit interviews etc.
Managing all restaurant activity ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, raising and resolving queries, managing petty cash, managing shifts, verifying asset registers, delivering on project plans, managing emergency drills and managing the restaurant’s IT systems etc.
Financial Management input into the development of the budget, setting and achieving targets, facilitating business growth, managing income and expenditure, reviewing and signing off on invoices, checking reports and reporting etc.
Marketing and Business Development reviewing brand touch point checks and implementing corrective action, planning and executing CSI initiatives, increase sales and promote the restaurant, SWOT analyses, development of local marketing plans, building relationships etc.
Education / Qualification :
Certificate or equivalent NQF level 5 qualification ( examples : Business Administration, Business Management, Hospitality Management)
1-2 years industry related experience.
2- 5 years management experience in a busy restaurant or retail environment, ideally in a sit-down restaurant.
Knowledge / Skill :
Knowledge of restaurant operations including people, product and customer processes (Advanced)
Communication skills both written and verbal.
Financial and business acumen.
Coaching and mentoring skills.
