Purpose of the Role : The role holds overall accountability for the delivery of budget and revenue forecasts for the Africa division.

Responsibilities include the development and implementation of overall strategy agreed on by EXCO to ensure sustainable revenue growth of our product offerings throughout LexisNexis SA permitted African territories.

Key Accountabilities : Profit and LossAssume responsibility for delivery of revenue and profit forecasts in respect of assigned African territories.

Generate and sustain new business pipeline for all LexisNexis product offerings for assigned territories.Develop revenue contingency plans to account for unforeseen variances in forecasts and ensure delivery of targetsCompile monthly executive reports.

Strategy and Business DevelopmentResponsible for implementation of annual strategic plan as agreed with Department ExecutiveMonitor and pursue opportunities in new markets and report on progress.

Develop relationships with key customers in each territoryCompile and deliver quotes, proposals and tender documents.Research and remain abreast of international / local competitive trends and product developments.

Develop marketing campaigns to increase awareness of the product / services in the SA market and African marketsOperational ExecutionMaintain a customer, bottom line and big picture focusDevelop, implement and monitor visitation programs to source new customers and opportunities.
