Communication Specialist Social Media Medical Scheme - Pretoria

The Communication Specialist Social Media will report directly to the Senior Manager : Marketing and Communication and forms part of the Member Service and Experience Division.

The position is based at Head Office in Pretoria.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) :

ü Research and identify new media platforms to be utilised for members and other stakeholders

ü Develop and maintain a Social Media strategy for the Scheme

ü Establish Scheme processes and structures to develop content for, receive and respond timeously to member and stakeholder enquiries raised on social media platforms

ü Attend to member queries related to enrolment and membership, tax certificates, benefit confirmations and engaging with prospective members on new media channels (Not exhaustive list)

ü Identify, respond and forward member and stakeholder complaints as per existing processes

ü Manage the response rate and turnaround times and effective response to member queries, complaints, compliments and comments on social media platforms

ü Develop content, design and package material for distribution on social media platforms

ü Ensure that all member communications on social media platforms are aligned to the Schemes strategic plan, objectives and policies

ü Manage the application of the Corporate Identity (CI) manual and style guide on all social media platforms

ü Ensure that all communication material is accurate, factual and appropriately communicated.

ü Develop a monthly report on social media presence and activity by the Scheme

ü Develop monthly and quarterly progress reports against strategic, operational and project plans

ü Manage the inclusion of member suggestions on social media platforms into the new years benefit design process

ü Develop divisional project information sheets and progress reports

ü Conduct an annual assessment of the effectiveness of social media in meeting strategic targets and implement enhancements

ü Integrate social media variables into the member and provider satisfaction survey

ü Assist and participate in all divisional activities

ü Ensure compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, Protection of Personal Information Act and other statutory requirements

ü Take action points at the Monthly meeting with SPNs

ü Continuously identify, assess, communicate and where applicable mitigate risks that may affect the MSE Division and its operational performance

ü Monitor the implementation of all operational and project plans and inform the Senior Manager of any challenges and risks timeously

Requirements :

ü Appropriate degree in Communication, PR, Digital Media, Marketing or equivalent NQF 7 qualification

ü At least 3 years communications / marketing or public relations experience

ü Qualification and / or experience in managing Social Media channels and internal / corporate communications will serve as an advantage

ü Communication skills

ü Writing, proofreading and editing skills

ü Computer literacy skills

ü Information management skills

ü Planning and organizational skills

ü Knowledge of medical schemes industry preferable
