A national transport company seeks to employ a competent Buyer and Credit Clerk to ensure best practise business and supply chain functioning.
The successful candidate should ideally reside in Pretoria East. RESPONSIBILITIES : Develop a formal procurement strategy and Purchase Order System to improve current operational efficiency within the business.
Proactively ensure best-practise material management according to supply chain purchasing targets. Ensure staff compliance and implement strict control measures.
Conduct continuous product and supplier research for optimal utilisation of resources. Engage in effective supplier negotiations with regards quality, price and delivery.
Accurately review and authorise designated purchase orders / invoices issued to finance. Conduct a complete end-to-end credit clerk and reconciliation function.
Engage in any ad hoc admin duties and requirements. MINIMUM
A relevant accredited National Diploma or BCom Degree (CIMA / SAIPA highly beneficial) Min 3 years experience in a buyer and credit clerk function.
Practical Pastel Evolution / Partner knowledge and experience. Skilled in costing and financial analysis. Analytical and strategic thinking with sound decision-making skills.
Independent and hands-on problem-solving approach. Ability to enforce staff compliance and strict control measures. Ability to work under pressure within a deadline-driven environment.
