TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa has an exciting opportunity available for a Temp Shop Development Manager, for 12 months!
In this role, you will be responsible for optimising Shops,Foods & Services (SFS) operational standards and service stations profitability within a geographical area through the execution of SFS strategies at the regional level.
The scope of your role will be :
Drive SFS operation excellence standard, service stations compliance, implementation of SFS strategies & execute the product range by segment on the basis of industry leaders in the category
Regional focal point for all SFS related issues
Play an Instrumental role in the accelerated roll-out of SFS offers and manage suppliers delivery, site execution and track key performance indicators
Responsible & accountable for SFS regional sales growth
Execute the pricing Policy of all categories within the framework of the department's strategy while respecting the margin targets set
Ensure the supply of the products listed by the referenced suppliers
Execution of all promotions & marketing activities for the region
Ensure compliance with commercial cooperation agreement with manufactures and suppliers
Advise on the layouts, planograms, merchandising, Pricing for the region and ensure their feasibility in the station in consultation with the site manager and category managers.
Helping merchandisers in the implementation of category management Policy at service stations
Business review and profitability reviews for the region and maximize the results of each category by regularly analyzing their performance (in connection with the business analyst)
Analyze the results by category to ensure that they comply with budgetary requirements, undertake the corrective actions and recommend the necessary changes in ranges / linear allocation for each segment
Formalize and report on the performance of categories in connection with the support needed for the service station
Recommend opportunities and / or areas of improvement for none-performing sites
Play an interface role with the functional structures (Merchandizers, Sales, Category Manager, HSEQ etc.)
Maintain a competitive position in the market (innovation, pricing, etc.).
Participate in cross-subsidiary meetings for each category (Benchmark, "best practices", development of new modules)
Attend regular business reviews by category
Training, skills transfer & knowledge transfer to dealer partners, their staff and territory managers
Participate in the construction / updating of the SFS training program
Support new site openings as well as site activation & launches
Maintain a close relationship with all key stakeholders both internal and external
Work closely with Category Managers to maximize category profitability
Your functions will include :
Administration and reporting
Consolidation of all monthly SFS Reporting
Monthly promotions analysis with a competitor review
Calculate the potential and analyze the profitability of each SFS Category and Partnership
Other adhoc SFS reporting requests
All suppliers / manufacturers are notified of new store openings and the relevant deals are applied
Assist and guide the NBS in store merchandising
Perform various adhoc analysis
Assist with the planning of an annual trade show, supplier conference and awards ceremony
Assist category managers where applicable
Manage all HSEQ documentation required for all Suppliers / Manufactures listed with Total South Africa and ensure this is updated on the Rebate Control Sheet and loaded on central database (Docuware).
Ensure that all merchandising teams (internal and external) adhere to Total’s HSEQ policies and procedures.
Investigate all legislation, regulations, and by-laws in all categories. Make a summary of these and present it to SFS team
Ethics policy to be always adhered to.
All HSEQ violations found at site level must be reported to the relevant operational staff members
You possess the following :
Relevant Tertiary Degree
3 years working experience 2 years as a merchandiser
Consumer and Shopper Marketing Knowledge
Exhibit a positive and can-do attitude
Knowledge required : Supply Chain / Category Management and FMCG
Preferred not essential Skills Required : ESO, Back Office Knowledge, Contract / Supplier management
Added Advantage : Merchandising, Planograms, Space Planer, Data Analyst and SAP skills
Competencies Required : Analytical, Presentation, Advanced Excel, Power Point, Numeric Skills, communication, Negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
