Minimum Qualifications :

Diploma in catering will be an advantage

2 - 3 years experience

Knowledge in various cooking procedure and methods

Knowledge in sanitation procedures

Must be computre literate


Assist with catering function within an organisation.

preparing menu and food as directed

Ordering supplies and maitainig accurate record with necessary details

Supervise the canteen staff

Planning and monitoring the day to day operations in canteen

opening and closing the canteen

preparation and for service and ensuring all workers sign in and out

Arrange pick up / delivery of all canteen items

Obtain, and account for any floats that are required from the Treasurer

Ensure that all fod is handled and served correctly

Obtain food handling certificate

Process payments weekly with notification provied


Good decision making skills

Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans

Ablity to wotk within a team

Problem solving skills

Good communication skills

High stress tolerance

Planning and organisational skills

Ability to use initiative

Honesty, Trustworhthy
